Six layers of rubber must be applied to each "section" of the mold before a plaster "mother mold" can be created on top of it.
A "section" is created by putting up a clay wall on the perimeter of an area of the mold approx.3'x3'. These sections are manageble for one person to work on during the casting process.
A "mother mold" is a plaster backing added to the rubber to insure the rubber keeps its form while casting from it.
