The Molds
This is the first stage of the mold making process, here the legs are being covered in rubber. Six coats are applied before the plaster shell or mother mold are made on top of the rubber. Note the "keys" that are added to help the rubber lock into the plaster shell. Regards LJN

so the rubber is being applied directly over the clay, and it is brushed on???interesting...thanks for sharing this process, love learing this type of stuff...
You did such a wonderful job on this piece Doob. It will really come to life now and in bronze it will be second to none!
